Favorite Things

Linking with Claudia at Mockingbird Hill Cottage
One of my favorite things is my Italian compote.
It was purchased at an antique store in Indianapolis while power-shopping
 with my sister.
When we power-shop, we take a day (or a week), strategize our route, and stock up with chocolate and Mountain Dew to keep up our energy.
And we're off!
I saw this compote sitting on an antique dining table, and grabbed it right away!
It's very heavy and the top lifts off.
It goes with everything, and every season, AND I can keep chocolate in it!
And nobody will know.
Well . . . I guess they do now.
The only marking - I don't know who made it. If you know, please let me know.
Thanks, and keep on shoppin'!!
Love, Linda

  7. Hi Linda, I am visiting from Claudia's blog party and am totally enchanted with your blog. I love that you hide chocolate in your compote! Kindred spirits! I look forward to following you and reading about your adventures living up close and personal with Nature! I am amazed at the detail work on this compote; it's nice that is all white, and not garishly painted. Great find!

  8. When my family travels we stock up on the chocolate too! Instant energy and feel good food--and water too! Love the idea of hiding the chocolate in that pretty compote. Linda

  9. That is such a beautiful compote, Linda! No wonder you couldn't resist it. I think it's Italian Majolica Faience Ceramic. And yes! a perfect place to keep chocolate. :)
